Where Women Create

I love this magazine.  Each issue is almost a book, which, in my opinion, makes the $40 I spend on it at Borders each quarter worth it.  The current issue has many stunning studios, but one of my favourites is Karen Valentine’s.  And even better, Karen is hosting a blog party in June where bloggers can share their studios.  I am planning to participate, knowing full well that my studio wont be anywhere near as gorgeous as Karen’s and many others (I am still drooling over Nataliejo’s!)  But participation in this party should give me the impetus I need to complete the painting and replace the window coverings.  Karen’s room has also given me some ideas for the window area.  I can’t wait!

  1. Thank you for your nice comments about the magazine! It is very much appreciated.
I am looking forward to Karen’s blog party as well. How fun will that be?!

The magazine is only $14.95 per quarter not $40.00 …

    1. Jo,

      You are welcome.

You are right, in the States the magazine is only $14.95 a quarter, but here in Australia it is closer to $40 a quarter at Borders. I will be subscribing!

    1. Thank you. And it was only when I needed to tidy up after hiding in here to do my report writing that I realised that I was trying to force a beautiful room on myself.

    1. Sandy, I agree. This is the first time I have been able to have a room of my own. And it is only because we are on a large block with a bungalow (I think those from the US refer to them as a summer house) on the the property.

  4. Hi Bette,
What a wonderful spot you have to create in! Everything looks so neat and organized. I’m off to take a peek at your Needlwork shop.

I’ve enjoyed my visit, thanks for sharing!
