Last weekend, I wrote about the pincushion tutorials that you can find on the web. But not all pincushion designs are available as free designs. Over time I have added a number of pincushion designs to my pattern collection.
My most recent addition is one of Gail Pan’s new designs, Little Bird. The design also includes the instructions for making a block folder and a needlebook. I purchased the design after it was launched at Mrs Martin’s recent quilt show. Another pincushion pattern that I have purchased from Mrs Martin’s is Leanne Beasley’s Sarah’s Pincushions. Having another look at these cute designs I have to wonder why I have not already completed them!
Several years ago, I stitched the Willow Valley Store’s Vintage Pinnies as an exchange gift for someone. Dreadful as it sounds, I cannot remember who it was now! But these were such a joy to stitch!
But it is not only quilt designers who do the most gorgeous pincushion designs. Several years ago, when The Needlework Boutique first started stocking the Stacy Nash Primitive Designs, I stitched the fantastic Netty’s Sampler Pinkeep Drum. This simple design was such a joy to stitch. And then there are the Blackbird Designs Rewards of Merit Series, such as the sweet Summer Iris pincushion. Then there are the Shepherd’s Bush designs. This one is so PERFECT for Easter!
Of course, there are many more designs available for pincushions!
Until next time,
