Dear Jane…

In April, I embarked on the mammoth project that is the Dear Jane quilt.  It is not a true reproduction, but rather my version of the quilt made during the American Civil War.  Over the last few weeks, I have had a theme for writing about my progress on this quilt bubbling away in my head.  As I work on this amazing quilt, I will be posting in a diary format, sort of like a letter to Jane.  This letter will occur once a month, as I attend the class up at Foothills Fabric and Threads specifically to work on this quilt.  And as I contemplated Dear Jane, I started thinking about Berthe Massiet, and thought, why not create a theme around Berthe.  This idea is still developing, but I think that this is a way to maintain my interest in two large projects, so that I may get them finished in a reasonable time.  So next weekend, I will start with Dear Jane, as I bring you up to date with my progress so far…
