Yesterday 4 of us met up at Brunetti’s in the city. I was the last to arrive. I discovered one thing very quickly. Having the mobile number of at least one other person is a major necessity. Standing around, looking foolish, I quickly texted Catherine, and looked around, to see a wonderful vision in green waving at me. Phew!
I think that Chantel, Catherine and Di all harboured the same concerns that I did. How would 4 complete strangers get along? Would we be together for long, or would the trip into Melbourne be a quick coffee then time to high tale it out of there, heading back to the hills? I had already said to my family that I did not know how long I would be.
It did not take long for me to realise that these fears were unfounded. For we seemed to find something to talk about all the time. If there was a minute of silence, we would fall back onto discussing aspects of the Blogging Your Way ecourse, but generally found that we spent most of the time talking about other things, each arising from the initial connection we had made through this course.
After a period of time, I happened to glance at my watch and was amazed to discover that more than two hours had passed. And we were still talking. Finally, at around 5pm, 3 hours after we had first met, it was time to head home, with vague plans being made to meet up again in the city in about a months time.
