Last night my Paul and I enjoyed our first date night in months. Now that the son is playing Rep Basketball, our Friday nights have been given over to him.  But last night the children were at their cousins’, and we went to the movies.  We decided to watch the new Martin Scorcese film Hugo.  It is about a young orphan boy in post WW1 France who lives in the walls of one of the main trainstations in Paris, maintaining the clocks, and the friendships he forms.  It was …interesting.  But I did enjoy it.  For me it was my first 3D film since seeing Panda Dreaming at De Efteling in The Netherlands in 2004 or 5.

Keeping with the French theme, Day 13’s work in progress is the SALxendre project that I started either last New Year’s Day or the one before.  The charts can all be found at Tempus Fugit, a wonderful French blog maintained by Anne, who writes in both French and English.

This SAL was held several years ago, but I did not find the blog until it was half way through, and then it took me a while to decide to start it.  Now that I have, I take this project with me to my Guidance Group once a month, along with Berthe Massiet.  I am still working on the first month’s assignment.  Well, I have already demonstrated that I am a slow worker…
