Back in February, I talked a little about my word for 2013 – REBUILD. Over the last 4 months I have had my ups and downs. Apparently this is all part of the process of building a new life after you take such a major unexpected turn on life’s journey.
Right now, today, I am so excited. Excited about where I am. Excited about where I am going. Excited about the steps I am taking to reach that point. I have always believed that I am a major procrastinator. And I am. But I am also a doer. And I get so much enjoyment out of doing! Earlier it was about cleaning out the clutter. I have essentially decluttered the house. I would say to within an inch of it’s life, but there are still some areas that need to be decluttered, such as the secretaire in the front room! But I have moved so many things on to new homes. And it feels so good! My large home feels unbelievably spacious.
Right now, I am having to deal with an amzingly disorganised house, as every room in the house is being painted to get rid of dated paintwork. Imagine pink walls, skirting boards and doors! Today as I sit here writing this, the hall and foyer walls have been completely painted, the doors and most window frames have had one coat, and I am looking at the end of one week of painting, with at least another week to go!

One of the rooms undergoing a major transformation is my study. I am looking forward to unveiling a new look study next week – I hope to be able to do this in time for Where Bloggers Create 2013.
